Hadith Ibn Majah Completed Learning at Wali Barokah Islamic Boarding-school Kediri

For the umpteenth time Islamic Dawa Society of Indonesia (LDII) again held completed great hadith learning. This time Hadiths Ibn Majah Part 2 turned to be studied the meaning and explanation / interpretation to seal off. The event was opened by Kediri Mayor Dr. Samsul Azhar on Wednesday, April 7th, 2010 at "Wali Barokah" Islamic Boarding-school Banjaran Burengan East Java province.

This learning aims to preserve the hadith knowlwdge as the basis for the Islamic religion as well as disseminate it to all Muslims in Indonesia. With enthusiasm, this hadith study followed by about 15 000 (fifteen thousand) Muslims and the Moslem women who came from various regions in Indonesia. Promptly at 12:00, April 21st, 2010 Maja Ibni khataman hadith was closing.

Hadith of Ibn Majah is one of six Kutubu Sitta. While Kutubu Sitta consists of:
1. Hadith Shohih Bukhori
2. Hadith Shohih Muslim
3. Hadith Sunan Abi Dawud
4. Hadith Sunan Termizi
5. Hadith Sunan Nasa’i dan
6. Hadith Sunan Ibnu Majah

Hadith Sunan Ibni Majah consists of 19 Scripture began to Kitabushiam(7)- Kitabulmanasik (25), 108 (one hundred eight) chapters, 1482 (one thousand four hundred and eighty-two) hadiths and 518 (five hundred and eighteen) pages.

Imam Ibni Majah Profile

Imam Ibn Majah was a great scholar tafseer expert, historians and expert in hadiths. His major work in the field is Sunan Ibn Majah hadith, known as the sixth book of "kutubussittah", as the parent hadith books. The other five books are:
  1. Shohih Bukhori
  2. Shohih Muslim
  3. Sunan Nasai
  4. Sunan Abi Dawud
  5. Sunan Termidzi
According to some Islamic scholars, the sixth book is a book of hadith Muwatto' compiled by Imam Malik.
Full Name Ibni Majah
His name is Abu Abdillah Muhammad Bin Yazid bin Majah arRobaiy al Qowiniy al Hafidz. His nickname is Abu Abdillah, known Ibnu Majah. He was born in 209 Hijri. Died on December 22 Ramadhan year 273 Hijri in age 64 years. Majah is the name of his father's title for Yazid that also known as Robi'ah Maula Majah. Ibnu Majah has been studied since his youth. It is narrated that Ibn Majah learned hadith from age 15 years to a sheikh named Ali bin Muhammad at Tonafisiy al Hafidz. At the age of 21 years, Ibn Majah began a journey to collect and write Hadiths to the Islamic countries, such as: ar Royyi (Teheran), Basroh, Kufah, Bagdad, Makkah, Syam dan Mesir. 'Ulama' of hadith expert who became his teachers are:

Mahmud Muhammad Mahmud Hasan Naddhor writes in Sunan Ibn Majah preface: "Sunan Ibn Majah contain 4.341 hadiths, 3.002 hadith written in kutubul khomsah (Shohih Bukhari, Shohih Muslim, Sunan Abi Dawood, Sunan Tirmidhi, Sunan Nasai) and the rest of 1.339 hadiths as addition to what is in kutubul khomsah. As for the 428 of his hadith Tsiqot Rijal (Sohihatul isnads), 199 hadiths hasanatul isnads, 613 hadith dho'ifatul isnads and 99 hadiths wahiyatul isnads (very weak isnad) or munkaroh or makdzubah ". Very great concern to Sunan Ibn Majah so many of them make the explanations for the existing hadiths in Sunan Ibn Majah. Among them are highlighted on the position hadith isnads exist in Sunan Ibn Majah (his Sohih and dhoif), and some provide descriptions of intention contained in the hadeeth of Ibn Majah.   2. Al Yafi’I said: "Imam Ibn Majah was a priest who are skilled experts in the field of hadith hadeeth science and all sciences relating to the science of hadith".
  3. Ibnu Nasiruddin said: "Imam Ibn Majah compilers book as Sunan, one of the books of Islam. He is a great memorizer who was trusted with great position who has compiled Sunan books, chronicle and tafseer. In his book there is ± 30 isnad dhoif hadith. " (Syadzarootidz Dzahab juz 2 page 164).
